Visits with several steps

  • See the doctor, then medicines

When the doctor completes a consultation they choose: billing and then the pharmacy, or nothing more. A test or scan is sent with Send to, and follows the next process.

For Fever and infections, Diabetes and blood pressure

    1. The service itself
    2. Choose one — the desk that finishes the step before chooses

      Medicines (default)

      1. Go to Billing
      2. Go to Pharmacy

      No medicines

      Done

  • Test or scan, then back

A patient a consultant sends for a blood test or scan goes to that line and returns to the consultant who sent them.

For Blood tests, Urine test, Chest X-ray, Ultrasound, X-ray

    1. The service itself
    2. Back to whoever sent them
  • Billing, then collect

A patient a doctor sends for medicines goes to the Billing counter first, and the pharmacy line calls them after.

    For Collect medicines

    1. Go to Billing
    2. The service itself

The day

Hours, the TV and the poster

  • Opening hours

Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 4 pm; Sunday closed.

Add public holidays and the days a visiting consultant is away as closed days a month ahead. People who booked on those days are listed so you can cancel or keep each one.

  • TV display × 3

The token being called and the room to go to, for the lines nearest that screen.

One outside registration, one at the speciality rooms and one at the lab and radiology corridor.

  • QR poster

At the main gate, the registration hall and each speciality corridor, so a patient can take a place from the car park.

Tips

  • Give each manager their own lines.

The OPD manager keeps the speciality lines and the diagnostics manager the Lab and Radiology lines, so each changes only what is theirs.

    How it works →
  • Plan the test-and-return path once.

A process sends a patient to the Lab or Radiology and back to the consultant who sent them, called ahead of new arrivals once the test is done.

    How it works →
  • Use Run desk when registration backs up.

The OPD manager runs Registration 3 from the Live Board on a tablet, so a third counter calls patients without anyone else signing in.

    How it works →
  • Mark leave before the rota changes.

Enter a consultant's days away on their profile. The board shows who is in and bookings are trimmed to match.

    How it works →
  • Export the month from Visits.

Visits lists every visit with its line and times and exports it as a CSV, up to 10,000 rows at a time, for the superintendent's monthly review.

    How it works →
  • Find the busy hours in Insights.

Insights shows when each line is longest, so you can move consultants to the mornings that fill up.
