CNG and fuel station

For a fuel station with three CNG dispensers, where autos and cabs wait thirty minutes to an hour for gas and the line spills out of the forecourt onto the main road.

Team

  • Dealer Owner

Sets up the lines and the hours, and adds the days the gas supply is cut as special days.

  • CNG attendant × 3 Staff

Runs a dispenser on a phone in the shirt pocket, calls the next token and marks it done when the nozzle comes off.

  • Air and tyre attendant Staff

Runs the Air point and calls the next vehicle from Air and tyre.

  • Forecourt attendant Staff

Stands at the entrance, adds a driver who has no data on the phone and hands over a token slip.

    Ticked: Front desk

The day

Hours, the TV and the poster

  • Opening hours

Every day, 5 am to 11 pm.

When the gas company announces a supply cut or low pressure, add a special day with shorter hours, or close the day. Drivers who open the page see it before they drive across town, and phones cannot join outside the hours you set.

  • TV display

The token being called and the dispenser to drive to.

On a pole at the edge of the parking area, facing the autos and cabs that are parked and waiting.

  • QR poster

On a board at the forecourt entrance and on the wall of the waiting shed, so a driver can scan it from the seat and then pull into the parking area.

Tips

  • Let drivers park, not idle in the road.

A driver scans the poster at the entrance, takes a token and parks. Their page shows their place and an estimated wait, so they can rest, eat or sleep in the cab until their token is close.

    How it works →
  • Keep air and tyres off the gas line.

A pressure check takes three minutes and should not wait behind forty autos. Air and tyre is its own line with its own desk, and petrol and diesel go on at the pumps as they always have.

    How it works →
  • Add a driver at the entrance.

Many auto drivers do not want to scan. Give the forecourt attendant the Front desk ability: they add the driver, name or phone optional, and hand over a slip with a QR and the token.

    How it works →
  • Pause a dispenser when the pressure drops.

Take a break with the reason "Other" and a return time. Waiting drivers see that their wait is longer, not why, and the team sees when the dispenser is back.

    How it works →
  • Call again for the driver who dozed off.

Call again shows the token once more on the TV and the driver's page, and moves no one else. Mark a no-show only after that.

    How it works →
  • Gas and money stay at the dispenser.

Line Me Up keeps the order of the line and nothing else. It sells no fuel and takes no payment; the driver pays at the dispenser as before.
