The day

Hours, the TV and the poster

  • Opening hours

Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2 pm; Saturday, 9 am to 12 noon; Sunday closed.

Give the last three days before the due date longer hours as special hours, and close the office on school holidays and the annual day.

  • TV display

The token being called and the window to go to.

Above the windows in the school lobby, where parents wait on the benches.

  • QR poster

On the school gate and the office door, and in the fee circular as a QR so parents can take a place from the road.

Tips

  • Keep concession requests off the payment line.

A parent paying the fee and a parent asking for a concession need different times. Separate lines keep the estimate for payment honest.

    How it works →
  • Open longer on the last days of the term.

Give each of those dates special hours instead of changing the week's hours, so the next week returns to normal by itself.

    How it works →
  • Call again for the parent who stepped out.

Call again shows the token on the TV and on the parent's page once more, without moving anyone else.

    How it works →
  • Compare the busiest hours across the week.

Insights' Waits page shows the average wait by the hour people joined. Next term, put the circular's "come between" advice where the lull is.
