Laundry and dry cleaning

For a neighbourhood laundry, where office-goers drop clothes at 8 am and collect at 7 pm and one counter has to serve both without a pile-up at the door.

1 line · 2 desks · Something else picked in setup

Team

  • Shop owner Owner

Serves at Counter 1 in the evening rush and sets up services and hours.

  • Counter attendant × 2 Staff

Takes in clothes and hands them back at Counter 2, and adds customers who walk up without a phone.

    Ticked: Front desk

The day

Hours, the TV and the poster

  • Opening hours

Monday to Saturday, 7:30 am to 9 pm; Sunday, 8 am to 1 pm.

Mark Sundays you stay shut and festival days as closed, so anyone who scans the poster sees the shop is closed instead of waiting at a locked door.

  • TV display

The token being called and the counter to go to.

Above the counter, facing the door, where people with bags can read it from outside.

  • QR poster

On the shutter and by the door, so customers on their way to work scan and take a place before they walk in.

Tips

  • Make the collection the shortest service.

Give Collect clothes three minutes. The evening wait estimate then reflects a quick hand-over, not a drop-off with tagging.

    How it works →
  • Open both counters in the rush.

Both counters call from the same line, so the second attendant takes the next person the moment they start a shift at Counter 2.

    How it works →
  • Add a customer who has no phone.

With the Front desk ability, an attendant adds the person and hands over a slip with a QR to follow their place.

    How it works →
  • Look at the day's pattern after a few weeks.

The Insights overview shows how many joined in each hour. Move your second attendant's shift to start at that hour.
