Go-karting track

For a go-karting track where a crowd of drivers waits for the next heat, everyone must sit through the safety briefing first, and the pit lane has no idea who has.

2 lines · 7 desks · Something else picked in setup

    Ticked: Urgent

  • Briefing marshal Staff

Visits with several steps

  • Briefing, then race

A driver who finishes the safety briefing gets their place in the Race line on Complete, so nobody reaches a kart without it.

    For Safety briefing

    1. The service itself
    2. Go to Race

The day

Hours, the TV and the poster

  • Opening hours

Tuesday to Friday, 2 pm to 10 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 11 am to 10 pm; Monday closed.

Give a public holiday its own longer hours as special hours, and close the track for the day when the surface is being repaired. Nobody can take a place while you are closed.

  • TV display

The token being called, and the briefing room or the kart to go to.

In the waiting area above the window that looks onto the track.

  • QR poster

At the entrance and on the ticket counter, so a driver takes a place for the briefing and watches the track instead of the counter.

Tips

  • Drivers join the briefing, and the race follows.

A step placed before a service never runs for someone who joins from their phone, so the briefing is the thing drivers join and the race is the step after it. Complete at the Briefing room gives each driver a place in Race. The Race line is still on your page, so ask drivers at the gate to scan for the briefing.

    How it works →
  • Each step makes its own token.

The driver's page shows a new token for Race after the briefing. The two belong to one visit, so a driver is never called to a kart while still in the briefing room.

    How it works →
  • Brief a heat one driver at a time.

A desk calls one person at a time, so the briefing marshal calls in each driver of the next heat, gives the talk once, and completes each one after it, in the order they should race.

    How it works →
  • Run six karts from one tablet.

The pit marshal, with the Run desks ability, starts each kart from Desks you run on the Waitlist and presses Call next for a kart as it comes back. Keep that tab open: a desk started there goes off shift when the tab is closed.

    How it works →
  • Take a kart into the pits with a break.

Pause the kart with the reason "Other" and a return time. Drivers waiting see the delay, not the reason.
