Escape room

For an escape room venue with three themed rooms, where every team has booked, half of them arrive late, and the host needs to know which team is ready for which room.

  • Owner Owner

Sets up the rooms, the booking times and the hours.

  • Host Staff

Greets teams at the front and checks in a booking when the team arrives.

    Ticked: Front desk

  • Game master × 3 Staff

Works one room's desk, calls the team in when the room is reset and completes the game when they come out.

The day

Hours, the TV and the poster

  • Opening hours

Wednesday to Monday, 12 noon to 11 pm; Tuesday closed.

Close a day for a room's rebuild, and give public holidays longer hours. Bookings already made on a day you close are listed so you can cancel or keep each one.

  • TV display

The token being called and the room to go to.

In the lounge where teams wait and sign the rules.

  • QR poster

On the front door and the lounge table, so a team can book its next room before it leaves.

Tips

  • Each room is a line of its own.

A booking holds a place on a line, not a particular desk, so each room is its own line with one desk. A team that books The Vault always gets The Vault, and each room takes one booking per time.

    How it works →
  • Put the reset in the booking time.

The booking time is the room's time, so 75 minutes covers an hour's game and the reset, and the next team's slot starts when the room is ready.

    How it works →
  • The team is booked in one person's name.

One player books for the team, for today or the next six days. There are no walk-ins: a team that turns up without a booking is told the next free time.

    How it works →
  • Check the team in at the front.

The player who booked presses I am here on arrival, or the host, with the Front desk ability, checks them in on the Waitlist. Game masters call the team into their room; without Front desk, they cannot check in a booking. A booking nobody checks in is given up once the late window passes.
